In this context, the projects have agreed to exchange information mutually, organise common participation in events, and also explore possibilities for setting up common exploitation plans.

WeKnowIt was invited and presented in the event Butterfly EUROPE – When Social Media and Networks Make The European Public Opinion, in Brussels on 12th January 2011.  The event  included presentations and discussions between members of the European Partliament, lobbyists, bloggers and researchers.  In the event context the project Coordinator was interviewed.

The production of the final dissemination material, including the WeKnowIt video showcase has been initiated. The first video shootings took place during the 10th plenary WeKnowIt cosortium meeting at Thessaloniki on 15-16 December 2010. The shoot-out included interviews with project partners and coverage of live demonstrations of the WeKnowIt prototypes and applications. The material is expected to be finalised and publicly distributed by the end of March.

The paper "The Dynamics of Content Popularity in Social Media" by Symeon Papadopoulos, Athena Vakali and Yiannis Kompatsiaris received the best 2010 paper award by the International Journal of Data Warehousing and Mining (IJDWM) and will be nominated for the Annual Excellence in Research Journal Award in Database Technologies.
