Privacy Policy

Data protection declaration
Protecting your personal data is extremely important to us. This data protection declaration sets out the method, extent and purpose of our collection, processing and use of your personal data.

Basic principles
We collect, process and use your personal data in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations. Personal data refers to all individual pieces of information about personal or factual details of a particular or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your address, your e-mail address and your telephone number.

Scope of data collection, processing and use
When you call up our web pages, we are provided with access data, which is saved for security purposes and generally enables identification: this includes the name of the web pages retrieved, the date and time of the retrieval, the volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, the browser type and version, the user‘s operating system, the referrer URL (the previous page visited) and the requesting provider. We evaluate this data (known as the „click path“), and it enables us to optimise our Internet presence and tailor the content to you.

Merely to visit our Website, it is not necessary for you to provide us with any personal data (such as your name or your e-mail address). If you provide us with personal data, we collect, process and use this information only for the purposes of providing the Website and the services available on the Website

Personal data is only shared with public authorities and government institutions when this is stipulated by law, or when we are forced to do so by a court of law. Our staff and any service providers we work with are bound to confidentiality and to observing the applicable data protection regulations.

Right of access and questions about data protection
Under the applicable data protection regulations, you have the right to free access to any of your personal data that is stored. You can revoke your consent to collect, process and use data at any time, with effectiveness for the future.

We are happy to answer any further questions on data protection and processing of your personal data. You can contact us using the e-mail address: multisensorproject[at]gmail[dot]com

Contact forms, newsletter
You can use the contact forms provided on our Website to contact us directly or to request current information from us. We collect, process and use the information you provide in a contact form exclusively to handle your request.

If you have registered for one of our newsletters, we collect, process and use the information you enter to send out the relevant newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the relevant newsletter at any time.

Cookies
We use cookies to make your visit to our Website a better experience. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser‘s cache and allow us to recognise your browser. Cookies enable us to improve the convenience and the quality of the services provided on the Website, for example by storing your user settings (e.g. your country selection) for future visits.

It is possible to use our Website without cookies. You can restrict or disable the use of cookies in your browser‘s settings at any time. However, this may lead to certain restrictions in the functions and user friendliness of our Website.

Twitter
We use social plug-ins for the social network twitter.com, which is operated by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. These social plug-ins enable you to share information on our Website using Twitter or to follow us on Twitter. When you call up a page that contains one of these social plug-ins, your browser establishes a connection with the Twitter servers. The content of the social plug-in is transferred by Twitter directly to your browser and displayed within our page environment, without us having any influence on its content. Twitter may be able to track your visit to our Website and associate it with a Twitter account. When you click on the button, your browser transfers corresponding information directly to Twitter, and we are unable to influence this. For further information about the type, purpose and extent of the data, and how your data is processed and used by Twitter, refer to the Twitter data protection declaration of Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/privacy. There, you can find out more about your rights in this regard and the setting options for protecting your privacy.

Piwik
Our website uses Piwik, a so-called web analytics service. Piwik uses so-called „cookies“, small text files stored on your computer to allow us to analyse the usage of our site. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your truncated IP address) is transmitted to our server and stored for analysis. The resulting data is designed to help us optimise our website. Your IP address is being anonymised immediately during this process, so that the user remains anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, if you do, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
