Is a senior lecturer in Biological Anthropology at Liverpool John Moores University and Scientific Associate at the Natural History Museum, London, where she worked after obtaining her PhD in Evolutionary Anthropology for University College London. She has published research on human evolution ranging from the limb bones of the Neanderthals, to the earliest human footprints in Britain, each time using 3D methods. Isabelle has also written popular articles for BBC Focus Magazine and has been a scientific consultant on a number of television documentaries on human evolution. Dr De Groote’s experience of working in museums and public engagement along with a 3D technology driven research agenda makes her ideal for the role of coordinator between the museums and engineers.
