Overview
LJMU-RCEAP (The Research Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology)
RCEAP is a second independent department based at LJMU that is involved in the project in addition to GERI. It has eighteen academic researchers focusing on evolutionary anthropology, wildlife conservation and the behaviour of social animals. RCEAP has recently benefitted from considerable investment in extensive, modern, skeletal laboratories that house a large collection of archaeological skeletal remains. Core facilities include a palaeoanthropological Imaging Suite, which houses computing and digitising facilities such as microscribes, macro and micro 3D scanners, photographic equipment, digital x-ray, and specialist analytical software.
Role in the Project:
RCEAP will act as the User Group co-ordinator in the project. They will lead the museum partners and co-ordinate their contribution. They will also oversee the project’s dissemination and outreach activities to the user community.
