Overview

In DigiArt, SCAC will be one of the project’s case studies. A number of the techniques (LIDAR, drones, 3D scanning and Photogrammetry) will be used to scan the cave and compare the most appropriate techniques for recording inside constrained dark places. This 3D representation and visualization of the site, but also the archaeological finds will be used to recreate prehistoric life at the cave. The responsibilities of SCAC will be to provide access and context to the site and its artefacts that will become part of this virtual world. In addition, a virtual collection will become part of the web of cultural things and link to other archaeological collections in Europe.
