On 14th of January 2019, the Mayor of Thermi (Thessaloniki suburbs area, Greece), Theodoros Papadoulos has attended the programmed Open Labs by DigiArt named as “Little Archaeologists” in the Library of the Municipality of Thermi. The session was attended by 50 school children, 4E local TV channel, COSMOTE telecommunications sponsor, and local stakeholders. Mayor had the chance to observe school children while they design 3D models related to culture and print them in the 3D printer. The Mayor had also tested the developed Virtual Reality Experiences, namely the Scladina Cave experience wearing the Oculus Rift glasses. Being amazed from the experience stated that he made a wonderful trip to the cave which was very realistic and almost believed he was there. Similar statements were made by the representative of COSMOTE, Mrs. Tsamatsirou Eleni who tried also the experience. We are looking forward for further collaborations with the local authorities, companies and stakeholders.
