MMDA welcomes novel research works that deal with web content extraction, concept and event based indexing, semantic integration and retrieval, as well as multimodal fusion, content summarisation and visual analytics.

The goal of MMDA workshop is threefold. First, the workshop aims at presenting the most recent methods for the extraction, interpretation, retrieval, fusion, aggregation, summarisation and visualization of news content. Second, it aims at bringing together practitioners and researchers, both from multimodal analytics and media industry domains, to share ideas and experiences in designing and implementing novel multimedia and multilingual analysis and retrieval techniques and tools for journalistic and media monitoring applications.
